Reporting : SQE manager

EDUCATION : BS in related field (CS, Pharmacy, Chemistry) with related experience

ROLE :

• Responsible senior team player in project(s) & be part of test execution team on assigned projects (no personnel responsibilities, just project related)
• Responsible for assigned project related deliverables & project tasks management
• Work with cross-functional teams
• Play an important part in QE processes & standardization of QE metrics

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Minimum 4 years experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Minimum 3 years experience writing and executing Test Plans / Test Cases
• Strong QA methodology, process, leadership and knowledge of Configuration Management best practices and techniques.
• Thorough understanding of Software Quality Assurance methodologies and metrics
• Experience with all types of testing: Functional, System, Integration, Regression, Performance and good understanding of automation concepts & challenges
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test cycles & defect reporting & tracking
• Ability to learn and utilize computer applications and tools rapidly
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to identify & escalate issues to the project lead/management
• Support & guide junior members in the team
• Must have strong interpersonal skills
• Mentor junior/new hires as assigned in the project
• Must be knowledgeable in Windows-based Web Applications (having .NET background is a plus)
• Understand & capture business needs from different groups (Product Marketing, Support, Engineering, Release Eng etc) & Incorporate business logic while building test scenarios
• Must be proficient with product lifecycle and development processes
• Guide and train team to ensure full coverage of test areas
• Present QA coverage completion, trends, and priorities
• Provide test status reporting to Management
• Lead the activities of the Quality Engineering teams (multi-tasking across different projects)
• Knowledge of HP/Mercury Testing products
• Experience with QA outsourcing a plus
• Working knowledge of basic programming and scripting concepts
•  Knowledge of SQL and databases is required
